Quinta da Padrela is a family owned and operated estate located in the Douro region in the County of Tabuaço consisting of approximately 12 hectares. The entire vineyard is planted in shale, a fine-grained sedimentary rock, which contributes to the quality of the wines of the estate. Quinta da Padrela is a small estate consisting of old vines with very limited production.

Grape Varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional

Tasting Notes: Opaque ruby in color with a purple tinge showing a fruity, young nose of boysenberry and oak. Exhibits a silky texture and soft attack of concentrated red and black fruit with young but ripe tannins.

Grape Varieties: A blend of 20 Portuguese varietals from old vineyards and aged 12 months in French oak.

Tasting Notes: Opaque ruby in color with aromas of dark black and blue fruit and toasty oak. This modern style, elegant and seamless wine has a lovely, soft, rich attack of very expressive fruit and violets. Finishes long with gentle but gripping tannins.
